English - The Real Deal

前几天玩anagram游戏时突然想到，anagram的中文叫什么？一查字典，只有很长的一串解释外加举例，却没有对应的名称。看来中文有必要增加一些专有名词。

Merriam-Webster给出的定义：a word or phrase made by transposing the letters of another word or phrase。

给几个简单的例子：won = now, satin = stain, neat = a net。先别急着说“这有什么好玩的？”，看看下面这些经典的anagrams，好不好玩自有分晓：

Debit card = Bad credit
Dormitory = Dirty room
Mother-in-law = Woman Hitler
Desperation = A rope ends it
Slot machines = Cash lost in ‘em
Eleven plus two = Twelve plus one
Snooze alarms = Alas! No more Z’s
Election results = Lies! Let’s recount.
